Pine Tar and Tea Tree Soap
Pine tar is a form of tar made from pine wood, and is commonly used to treat the hooves on horses because of its antiseptic, fungicidal and bacterial properties to fight infections and retains hoof moisture.
It is not only good for the horses, but for people, too! It treats many skin conditions. It is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory and antipyretic (reduces fever) when used topically. It is used for the treatment of eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, acne and other dry, itchy or inflamed skin conditions.
Tea tree essential oil is also beneficial for soothing painful, inflamed and irritated skin and reduces redness and swelling. In combination with the pine tar, you receive a very healing and soothing product, suited for most any irritating skin condition.
This beautiful soap maintains the luxuriousness of all Thoughtful Botanicals Soaps, as it has skin-loving oils, kaolin clay, colloidal oats and tussah silk fibers. Good for body and face. It smells of the tea tree, as the pine tar scent is (thankfully) cured out, as it smells like...well...tar. :)
