The soap comes in a microwavable, dishwasher safe porcelain ramekin dish to reuse. The soap will last 6 plus months, which is much longer than a bottle of dish detergent will last. This soap does not have water in it like bottled dish detergent, which is almost all water and unwanted chemicals. No plastic bottle to end up in the ocean.
